brought out by Public Relations, Madhya Pradesh

The Ladli Laxmi Yojana is a pioneering social welfare scheme launched by the Madhya Pradesh government with effect from April 1, 2007.

Book - Great Tales of Hinduism.webp

The Great Tale of Hinduism
by Prathviraj Singh and P. Narahari, IAS

"The Great Tale of Hinduism, in a short space, covers an extensive ground of Hindu teachings. It provides a panoramic view of a Hindu approach to religion, philosophy, science, politics, mythology, art, the role of women, and the past and the future of humanity."

- Dr. David Frawley, Director - American Institute of Vedic Studies

Redundancy of the idea of religion seems to be growing in an age in which any mystery can be demystified by science. It also seems as if patronizing religion is outdated in todays so-called progressive world. However, adaptability and progressiveness have been the basic requisites of Hindu philosophy. Hence it requires its followers to evolve with change. Through this book, the authors have tried to endorse the role of Hinduism in the formation and development of human society. They have looked back at the conception, evolution and sustenance of Indian society through the lens of Hinduism, and have tried to explain this process through short Hindu mythological tales. We believe decoding folklore is also a source of understanding the history of any given period. Different tales spanning different ages and times bring forth a completely different picture of the mores and morality of our society, which still abide with the constant basic principles of Hinduism.

The Great Vedic Tales: Tales of Greatness from the Vedas
by P. Narahari, IAS and Prathviraj Singh

Ancient Indians developed and discovered many techniques that made human life simpler and advanced materially but never struck to this kind of advancement. They certainly believe that human excellence depends on the development of art. That being the reason, ancient India was the first civilisation to inculcate art, drama, dance, music and poetry into human life with the spiritual aspect of it. It also developed the finest language that helped them to express their experiences artistically and efficiently. This rich heritage of ancient India earned many admirers across the boundaries of regions and religions.

Mark Twain being an aficionado of Indian heritage spoke many things to appreciate Indian traditions and culture:

“India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legends and the great grandmother of tradition." Our most valuable and the most constructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only.

Ramraja - Shri Ram ka Rajyabhishek
by P. Narahari, IAS and Rishikesh Pandey

When Lord Rama returned from exile and his coronation took place, his mother Kaushalya was happy that her son had become king, but her sorrow was so immense that streams of anguish flowed from her eyes. Lord Rama realized this because King Dasharatha loved his beloved son Rama more than his own life, and his eyes always wished to see Rama as king. However, when Rama was in exile, due to a curse, King Dasharatha died when Rama was not by his side, leaving his dream unfulfilled.

Today, all the stars and planets are in the same position as they were at the time of Lord Rama's birth - Chaitra Shukla Paksha Navami tithi, Pushya nakshatra, Cancer ascendant, Cancer zodiac sign, and Abhijit muhurat. In this same celestial alignment, two events occurred today:

The first event - The great poet Goswami Tulsidas began writing the Ramcharitmanas in Ayodhya with auspicious commencement.

The second event - Lord Shri Rama not only gave darshan (divine vision) to Queen Ganesh Kunwar of Orchha in his divine four-armed form on the banks of river Sarayu in Ayodhya, but also agreed to go to Orchha in the form of a child, sitting in the Queen's lap, with three conditions.
